Welcome to NEIndianaHCHP.org...

Our mission is in accord with the HCHP Bloomington Chapter Mission:

Hoosiers for a Commonsense Health Plan (HCHP) is a group of Indiana citizens who support a publicly financed, privately delivered (single-payer) universal health plan at the state and national level. HCHP is working to educate the public and the legislature about the benefits of a single payer plan. We are seeking individuals and groups who have an interest in helping achieve this goal--please contact us if you can help!

Some stories from Rob & Karen Stone to check out ... April 7, 2010

We hit a home run today! Most media coverage we've ever gotten for an event in Indiana, as far as I know. We'll see where it goes from here.
The Indianapolis Business Journal started the ball rolling with this nice piece on April 6, the day before the event:

Shareholder group wants WellPoint to become not-for-profit

WISH TV Channel 8 gave us a nice coverage

WTHR TV Channel 6 made us look more like angry Lefty Tea Baggers, misquoted me in the text on their web site, and I had trouble getting the video to play. However, since they included me calling WellPoint "a parasitic middleman" and Julia saying that they "will bankrupt the country." I can't complain.

WTHR TV Channel 6

Pretty poor article in the Star this morning before the press conference, and they didn't send anyone to the event.

Indianapolis Star

Indianapolis radio WIBC carried a short piece with a bit more including a link to the HCHP blog on their web site:

Bloomington Community Radio WFHB carried almost all my comments, and they will be posted under Daily Local News April 7

Inside Indiana Business carried a piece, but I had trouble playing the audio all the way through and the editing seemed strange:

We broke into the national blogosphere with a nice piece in CounterPunch by HCHP Bloomington member Linda Greene:
